Context / background

Along with the transformation of its operating model and application landscape,  Japan IT team is willing to re-enforce its Logistics capabilities and expertise to sustain its ambitions: support business growth and distribution our footprint extension, promote the deployment of Global solutions, improve time to market and operational efficiency by leveraging new technologies (i.e: RFID) and re-designing key processes in its Funabashi distribution center.

Japan warehouse and logistics activities are managed for online and offline businesses by 3rd party companies. Being able to work in close collaboration with those partners as well as Local and Global Supply Chain/Logistics teams will be an important success factor for the candidate.

Summary of position

The IT Logistics domain manager will oversee all Operations and Repair center related activities for  Japan 3 Divisions (Fashion, Fragrance & Beauty, Watch & Fine jewelry).
He/she will be expected to skill-up on current processes and systems, understand in detail the specificities of each division and business models (Retail, Wholesale, online) in order to lead IT projects, support tasks and suggest and implement processes improvements.
A strong focus on the Repair activity and the renovation of related systems will be one of the first challenge for the candidate.
A good understanding of online and offline business-related warehouse activities as well as omnichannel trends and challenges will also be expected from the candidate.

Missions

1- Project management
- Act as a Leader for the IT stream, not only focusing on budget, schedule, and resources management, but also by being an active contributor in each phase from requirements definition to post go-Live support
- Work closely with Business process owners/3rd party companies to perfectly understand “As-is” situation for a more relevant project lead
- Drive 3rd party companies to ensure their full understanding and commitment on each project phase
- Leverage knowledge and experience to also be able to act as system expert
- Support training and change management around the implementation of new tools
- Set the right governance instances and methodology. Ensure that it is followed by all related parties.
- Ensure proper communication with all stakeholders (local, abroad)

2- Business processes improvement
- Understand current operations and processes as well as their impact on systems, and how they are interconnected
- Leverage best practices from local or international markets, consult with Global teams and other regions to have a holistic approach prior to suggesting process changes
- Collaborate closely with Business process owners and 3rd party companies to highlights pain points and potential area of improvements
- Prospect new technologies that could bring added value for distribution center and its interaction with the stores and customers

3- Support
- Support distribution center users on our applications
- Drive security re-enforcement measures on those applications

応募資格の概要

- 7+ years of experience in Logistics/warehouse system/project related activities. Experience in Retail and both Online/Offline businesses is a strong plus.
- Good interpersonal, problem solving, conflict resolution skills.
- Good verbal and written communication skills (fluent English and Japanese)
- Self-starter: takes direction and self-motivated to work autonomously
- Strong appetite for technology and innovation
- Strategic thinking and Result oriented mindset
- Team player
- Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks
- Hands-on and pro-active personality
- Previous experience on Manhattan WMS implementation/support activity is a plus
