仕事内容 | The Accounting Project Manager position is responsible for leading accounting related projects that are mostly in global and/or cross functional environment. Some upcoming accounting projects include S2P (Source-to-Pay) project, ERP harmonization with the global setting, and Fixed Assets module implementation. In addition to the project management, the Accounting Project Manager is expected to assist the Section Manager, General Accounting in the accounting operations of the company including the production of periodic financial reports, maintenance of an adequate system of accounting records, and development of a comprehensive set of controls designed to mitigate risk, enhancement of the accuracy of the company's reported financial results, ensuring that reported results comply with the Japanese generally accepted accounting principles and international financial reporting standards.
Principal Accountabilities -
Projects
1. Lead / contribute to projects around accounting operations such as recording, payments, and procurements.
2. Be a member of GWC (Global Working Community, which is a world-wide internal community ) and a representative of Japan Region for the projects around accounting related topics (for example, ERP harmonization / enhancement projects, Source-to-Pay project, Expense Claim system project, and etc.)
Further, she or he is expected to assist the Section Manager, General Accountings in the following accountabilities:
Management
1. Maintain a documented system of accounting policies and procedures
2. Oversee the operations of the accounting function
Transactions
1. Ensure that accounts payable are recorded and paid in a timely manner
2. Manage the periodic closing process (i.e., monthly, quarterly, and annual closing), including developing and recording accounting estimate
3. Maintain the chart of accounts
4. Maintain an orderly accounting filing system
5. Maintain a series of controls over accounting transactions
Reporting
1. Prepare and submit financial information required by the global team
2. Issue financial statements in a timely manner
3. Recommend benchmarks against which to measure the performance of company operations
4. Provide financial analyses as needed
Compliance
1. Handle and complete external audits over financial reporting without material issues
2. Handle internal audits over financial reporting and accounting operations
3. Handle tax investigation and conclude it without material issues
4. Comply with statutory reporting requirements and tax filings
5. Design, implement, and maintain adequate level of internal controls mainly over financial reportin
